If you use avocados that aren’t quite ripe yet, your guacamole will end up tasting on the bitter side rather than delicious. In fact, you should be using avocados that are on the verge of going bad before you use ones that aren’t quite ripe yet. Always, always use the ripest avocados that you can find for good guacamole.
Is Guacamole Supposed to Be Chunky?
While everyone is going to have their own preference for the perfect guacamole, there are a lot of people that prefer to have chunks of avocado in their guacamole. However, you can do some things to keep it green for as long as possible. Adding citrus can help keep it green for longer, but the best way is to cover it with plastic wrap.
