How Do You Make Taco Seasoning Less Spicy?
Tacos are a great and traditional Mexican dish that doesn’t start out spicy. The base of a taco is a shell, seasoned meat, and is then topped with lettuce and cheese. Some restaurants may serve tacos with pico de gallo. Depending on how the restaurant prepares their pico de gallo, it can have a bit of spice. If you are not a pico de gallo fan, you can simply request that no pico de gallo be added. Tacos are still enjoyable and are not as spicy. Many people will add a spicy taco sauce for those who like the spice.
Are Burritos Spicy?
There are many different types and flavors of burritos and not all of them are spicy. You can often find simpler burritos such as bean and cheese and shredded or ground beef burritos which do not have too much spice. For those who can stand a slight spice to their burrito, the baja burritos are not too spicy and taste great. In most restaurants these types of burritos do not start out spicy and the customer can add their own spicy flavor if desired.
How Do You Add Flavor to a Quesadilla Without Adding Spice?
A quesadilla, depending on the type of flavor, are not usually spicy. The base of a quesadilla is melted cheese inside a tortilla, with added ingredients to create a specific type or dish. Cheese quesadilla are fairly safe or you can try Eddie’s Mexican Restaurant variety, the often requested TCT, which is a toasted cheese tortilla that has a delightful crunch. The vegetable quesadilla is just cheese, veggies with sour cream, and guacamole on the side. Like the taco, you can add a spicy sauce but it doesn’t start out spicy.
Are All Tostadas Spicy?
Another tasty and not spicy Mexican dish is the tostada. A tostada uses a flat crispy toasted tortilla shell. The toasted tortilla is then layered with refried beans and meat, and then topped with lettuce, sour cream and cheese. Tostadas do not contain any of those spicy peppers and other ingredients. Tostadas are great tasting and have a delightful crunch. For those who do not like the spicy dishes, tostadas are another non-spicy dish you can enjoy.
