With different types of fillings, like cheese, corn, meat, or vegetables, empanadas are pastry shells that are filled with various flavors. Cooked to yield a slightly crispy, flaky outer layer and a soft inside, these empanadas are made from the dough is folded over the stuffing. As a starter, tapa, or part of a main course in various Hispanic countries, including Chile, Argentina, and Spain, empanadas are usually served.
Tortilla Espanola (Spanish Omelet) & Chorizo Con Huevos (Mexican Sausage)
A tortilla Espanola is an omelet consisting of egg and potatoes that is cooked in a skillet with olive oil. They are also commonly covered in a red sauce.
Churros are an excellent dessert at sit-down restaurants and a popular street food. They normally served with a dipping sauce of chocolate or dulce de leche, churros are sweet fried-dough pastries. Churros are coated in cinnamon sugar and are best served warm and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
While the origin stories vary, Margaritas were invented in Mexico and the classic drink consists of tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, a salted rim, and a margarita glass. These drinks can come in many flavors and varieties such as on the rocks, straight, or frozen. Being popular, many diners include it with their favorite Mexican dish.
