When the meat has been shredded, it is then placed in an oven to broil and create crispy bits that add a delicious texture amongst the flavors and seasonings. The fat content of this meat will help the edges get crispy when it is cooking in the oven for a yummy crunch.
Spices Used to Season Carnitas
One of the reasons that carnitas is so flavorful and delicious is due to the large number of spices that are used to season the meat. While every restaurant is going to prepare their pork differently, using a different array of spices, there are some spices that are universally used when preparing carnitas.
